High Performance Program

Dodgeball PEI's high performance program sends teams to compete against the best teams from across the country at the National Dodgeball Championship each year.

2023

Montreal, QC

DBPEI sent three teams to 2023 Nationals in Montreal. Riptide finished 3rd overall.

PEI players also helped to bolster the roster for New Brunswick's team, Leviathan.

2022

Edmonton, AB

DBPEI sent 3 teams to compete in Edmonton for the 2022 Nationals.

2020

The National Championships were cancelled in 2020, but the high performance program had selected the following teams to represent PEI

2019

Charlottetown, PE

In 2019, Dodgeball PEI was given the honor of running the National Dodgeball Championships.  This was also the first year that PEI was granted a second men's team, which was named Black Flag. Along with Riptide and Armada, they competed against a record number of teams from across the country.  Armada had the highest placement coming in fourth.  

In the fall of 2019, the Dodgeball World Championships were held in Cancun, Mexico. After a stellar year of dodgeball, MacKenzie Pinet was selected to represent Team Canada.

2018

Winnipeg, MB

In 2018, Avonlea Armada made history as the first non-Ontario team to make it to the finals of the National Dodgeball Championship in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

2017

Halifax, NS

PEI sent teams to represent the island in both the Men and Women’s divisions of Dodgeball Canada’s National Championship held in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

 

As a result of this tournament, an islander was named a member of team Canada for the first time! Halen Sky was selected for the women’s Team Canada program. Jen Rempel and Dalton Mackenzie were chosen as alternates and were members of Team Maple Leaf.
